SAUDI ARABIA SEEKS FIRMS FOR HEALTHCARE PPPS

Saudi Arabia's Health Ministry, in collaboration with the National Centre for Privatisation & PPP (NCP), has invited companies to express interest in bidding for three healthcare public-private partnership (PPP) projects in Riyadh and the Eastern Region. The first package covers the development of a 200-bed long-term care facility and a 100-bed skilled nursing home in each region.  The second package entails the development in each region of a 150-bed medical rehabilitation hospital that has a capacity for 120,000 outpatient rehabilitation sessions annually. The third package entails the development of a home healthcare facility that can accommodate 5,000 patients in each region, where the clinical operations and maintenance contract will be for 11 years. The first and second packages will be implemented using a design-build-finance-operate-maintain model, with the operation component covering both clinical and non-clinical services. The concession period is 23 years for both packages. NCP expects to receive the expressions of interest by 13 April. (ICE RIYADH)
