Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), cooperates with PT Pupuk Kaltim to develop thorium-powered green ammonia. This agreement involves industries from Denmark, namely Copenhagen Atomics, Topsoe, Alfa Laval Copenhagen, and Aalborg CSP. "Green ammonia is one of Pertamina NRE's future businesses," said Pertamina NRE CEO Dannif Danusaputro in a press release on Monday, (22/5/2023). The green ammonia pilot project is in North Sulawesi.
