CHINESE FIRM CONFIRMS ARAMCO OFFSHORE CONTRACT AWARD

 China Offshore Oil Engineering Company had won the contract covering the EPCI of 13 jackets at the Safaniya offshore oil field. China Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) has confirmed being awarded a contract by Saudi Aramco for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) services at the Safaniya field in Saudi Arabia – the world’s largest offshore oil field.  Aramco awarding COOEC the contract, which sits as number 122 on its Contracts Release & Purchase Order (CRPO) system and is estimated to be worth $255m. The scope of work on CRPO 122 mainly covers the EPCI of 13 jackets at the Safaniya oil field. State-owned COOEC said the jackets would be fabricated at its facility in Qingdao in China’s Shandong province. The Tianjin-headquartered company expects to complete EPCI work on CRPO 122 by July 2024. (ICE RIYADH)
