Kazakhstan to extend ban on oil products exports by road for six monthsThe Kazakh government considers extending the ban on the export of oil products from Kazakhstan by motor vehicles for another six months.The text of the draft resolution has been made available on the Egov website for public discussion until June 13.The ban will not apply to motor oils and jet fuel for research purposes.The resolution introducing the ban will come into force ten days after its first official publication.In January 2023, Kazakhstan reintroduced the ban on exports of gasoline, diesel fuel, and some petroleum products by motor vehicles for six months. In February 2023, Kazakhstan banned exports of gasoline, diesel fuel, and certain types of petroleum products by all means of transport for four months to avoid a shortage of petroleum products in the domestic market.
