BANKS IN CYPRUS CONTRIBUTE €1 MILLION TO INSTALL AIR CONDITIONERS IN SCHOOLS

Cyprus's major banks are stepping up to help install air conditioners in schools, contributing €1 million to the effort. The funds will be distributed equally among the School Boards of the country’s five provinces. This initiative comes after the government launched a program to equip schools with air conditioning, aiming to improve the learning environment for students and teachers.  The decision was announced to Education Minister Athena Michaelidou during a meeting with leaders of the Association of Banks. The banks involved include major institutions like the Bank of Cyprus, Hellenic Bank, and Eurobank. This move is part of the banking sector's broader commitment to social responsibility, aiming to create a better educational environment across the country. (ICE BEIRUT)
