LISNER TAKES OVER GRAAL. LEADING POLISH MANUFACTURER BOUGHT BY GERMAN GIANT.

This is one of the largest takeovers in the food market in recent years. Lisner Holding, owned by the German food concern Theo Müller, bought part of the assets of the Polish leader in the canned fish market. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection issued consent for the acquisition.Lisner Holding takes control over Greenwich Investments, the owner of Graal, and acquires part of the assets belonging to Koral S.A. based in Tczew.Lisner is active on the Polish market of herring preserves, salads and sandwich spreads. The company belongs to a pan-European food concern, which is a capital group controlled by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller based in Luxembourg.The Graal Group (consisting of Graal and Koral) currently operates three production plants and a distribution center in Poland, employing over 2.2 thousand people and exporting to 38 countries in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australia. In 2022, the Group recorded sales of PLN 1.6 billion (EUR 350 million). (ICE VARSAVIA)
