This recall focuses on addressing defective steering gearboxes in a range of 2022-2025 model-year Honda and Acura vehicles. The steering gearboxes in question may experience defects that could increase the risk of a crash.Like the fuel pump recall, Honda has not reported any crashes or injuries related to the gearbox issue but is acting swiftly to prevent any potential dangers.Honda Canada will perform free repairs of the defective steering gearboxes, and affected customers will receive instructions to bring their vehicles in for service. The automaker advises all owners to take immediate action to ensure their vehicles are safe and fully operational.The company says it will continue to monitor and address issues before they pose significant risks on the road.
