The Jordanian government is very likely to enact the draft General Electricity Law of 2024, which will allow individual operators greater autonomy over electricity generation, storage and transmission. We expect the legislation to attract investment in renewable energy, including hydrogen.We also believe the legislation will mitigate the risk of exogenous shocks by increasing domestic renewable energy production.
