The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) and Echo Technology Company signed an agreement on Sunday to establish Jordan's first electronic platform dedicated to the exchange of industrial waste.Supported by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) under the "Promoting Green Activities in Industrial Facilities" project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the initiative aims to advance sustainable industrial practices in Jordan.The ACI highlighted the platform as an innovative tool to promote the reuse and recycling of industrial waste, offering an alternative to traditional, costly disposal methods. By linking industries with surplus industrial waste to those that can utilize it as raw materials, the platform fosters industrial collaboration, reduces environmental impact, and maximizes economic benefits.Functioning as a marketplace for industrial waste and by-products, the platform supports adherence to environmental standards and facilitates the circular economy by ensuring the efficient use of resources.
