Kazakhstan’s trade with EAEU states grew 10.5% in Jan-MayKazakhstan’s trade with the states participating in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) rose by 10.5% in January-May 2023 to make $11.429 billion compared with the same period of the previous year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.In the reporting period, Kazakhstan’s exports grew by 45.3% to $4.455 billion, while imports declined by 4.2% to $6.974 billion.Sales turnover with Russia accounts for 91.9% of all Kazakhstan’s trade volume with the EAEU states, Kyrgyzstan – 4.7%, Belarus – 3.2% and Armenia – 0.2%.Kazakhstan’s exports were dominated by machinery, equipment, transport vehicles, which accounted for 28.9% of the republic’s exports with the EAEU states; they were followed by chemical products and goods produced by the related industries (25.4%).The imports consisted of food products (20.2%), metals and metal goods (18.8%), machinery, equipment, transport vehicles (17.5%).
