German Flight Design plans to produce ultra-light aircraft in AlmatyThe German company Flight Design GmbH intends to launch production of ultralight aircraft in Almaty, the press service of the national company KAZAKH INVEST reported.The company announced its plans to produce ultralight CT series aircraft at the 30th general aviation exhibition AERO Friedrichshafen in Friedrichshafen (Germany).As Flight Design CEO Daniel Gunter explained, the aircraft production project will be implemented with the Virage group of companies on the territory of the free economic zone in Almaty. For this purpose, a joint venture Flight Design Kazakhstan will be formed.The aircraft are expected to be sold in local and foreign markets.The press service of KAZAKH INVEST clarified to the Interfax-Kazakhstan agency that the first 10 aircraft are planned to be assembled by 2025.Flight Design is a leader in ultralight aircraft manufacturing. The company's export-oriented products are sold through an international network of authorized dealers.
