4 TENDERS SOON FOR LOW-COST HOUSING PROJECT IN NAAYEM

Four tenders will be announced within the next two weeks for a lowcost housing project in Naayem area to establish, complete and maintain infrastructure and public buildings that serve 6,455 homes. The project targets three categories – Kuwaitis with rental homes, Kuwaiti women who are wives of non-Kuwaitis, and divorced Kuwaiti women. The project generally includes the completion of 9,800 homes with public buildings and infrastructural services. The first tender No. 1401 will include the construction, completion and maintenance of 1,608 houses and public buildings, asphalt surface layer works, supply and installation of low and medium pressure cables, and road lighting works in sectors PB6 and PB9 of the project. The second tender No. 1294 includes the construction, completion and maintenance of 1,700 houses, public buildings, asphalt surface layer works, supply and installation of low and medium pressure cables, and road lighting works in sectors PB5 and PB8.TenderThe third tender No. 1276 includes the construction, completion and maintenance of 1,162 houses, public buildings, asphalt surface layer works, supply and installation of low and medium pressure cables, and road lighting works in sectors PB5 and PB8. The fourth tender No. 1395 includes the construction, completion and maintenance of 1,985 houses, public buildings, asphalt surface layer works, supply and installation of low and medium pressure cables, and road lighting works in sectors PB4 and PB7. In addition, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) announced that it will proceed with the procedures for announcing the allocation of plots in Taima and Sulaibiya for those with existing housing applications from the year 2002 and before.In a press release, it revealed that it will announce the allocation dates on May 19, 2024. PAHW explained that work is underway to obtain approvals from the relevant government agencies to approve the plans for the two areas, complete technical studies, and carry out the planning and design works for roads and infrastructure networks. In addition, political sources said they expect the organizational plan for the two areas to be completed in June, which began last December. They stressed that the details of the plans and public services include environmental studies for the project, traffic studies, and infrastructure network design work for the Taima and Sulaibiya projects for completion in 2027.
