Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has extended the tender closing date for a contract to develop and operate Saudi Arabia's second independent water transmission pipeline (IWTP) project, which links Jubail and Buraydah. The state water offtaker now expects to receive bids by the end of June, instead of 28 March. The planned Jubail-Buraydah IWTP is a 603-kilometre (km) pipeline, which can transmit 650,000 cubic metres of water a day. (ICE RIYADH)
