KMG and China’s Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group establish cooperation in petrochemistry, oil and gas refiningKazakhstan’s National Company KazMunayGas JSC (KMG) and China’s Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group have signed a memorandum of cooperation, KMG said in a press release on Monday.The documents were signed on April 26 in Astana by KMG Deputy CEO Serikkali Brekeshev and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group General Manager Zhang Kaiyong.According to the reached agreements the two companies will cooperate in the following areas: the use and storage of CO2, petrochemistry, exploration and development, oil and gas refining, as well as sales of imported and exported products, the press release says.“The documents that we have signed today will help us further strengthen the strategic partnership between our companies in such areas as low-carbon development and further expansion of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan,” Brekeshev is quoted as saying.-- (ICE ALMATY)
