KUWAIT PLANNING 11 UPSTREAM TENDERS

State-owned upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has given contractors details of 11 upstream contract tenders that it is planning to issue through the new Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) tendering portal in the near future.Recently, KPC launched its own tendering portal to streamline the tendering process for projects. The portal has been named the “KPC and Subsidiaries K-Tendering Portal” and is being referred to as “K-Tender” by contractors. It is centralising some information that used to be published by KPC’s subsidiaries as well as providing an alternative to the Kuwaiti government’s Central Agency for Public Tenders (Capt). The projects that KOC is planning to list on the KPC portal, including their tender reference numbers,  are:1. Provision of specialised / support manpower for gas fields development group (2130687)2. Maintenance services of production facilities for East Kuwait areas (2129710)3. Installation of water injection plant - IV (WIP-IV) in SK area (2096875)4. Effluent water capacity upgrade at GC-27 and GC-28 (2107687)5. Master enhanced / improved hydrocarbon recovery agreement (2105758)6. Revamping of North Kuwait gathering centres GC-15, GC-23, and GC-25 (2115440)7. Long Term Testing Facility in Sabriyah Field (2108907)8. Effluent Water Capacity Upgrade at GC-27 and GC-28 (21007687)9. New Gas Sweetening and Sulphur Recovery Facility at West Kuwait (2103367)10. EWDPS I&II Expansion for Injection Maintenance Project (2097004)11. New Burgan Water Injection System in S&EK Area (2094832)The creation of the K-Tendering portal comes as KPC merges many of its subsidiaries, reducing its total number of subsidiaries from eight to just four.In the future it is expected that KPC will be using both the K-Tendering portal as well as Capt to tender projects.Capt currently has no committee members and at the moment KPC is only using the K-Tendering portal to tender its projects.Capt is expected to have new committee members assigned once Kuwait has formed a new government.
