Exhibition of Italian Cosmetics in Slovenia

On February 5, 2020 the Italian Trade Agency in Ljubljana presented 15 cosmetic companies from the South of Italy at the Castle in the Slovenian capital. The main objective was to highlight the excellence of Made in Italy cosmetics, characterized by professionalism and innovation. 300 B2B meetings have been organized with buyers and distributors not only from Slovenia, but also from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and Serbia. The initiative is part of the Italian Trade Agency's programs financed by European Funds dedicated to the so-called Convergence Regions: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Molise, Puglia and Sicily (South Export Plan).

The range of the products presented was very diversified, but they all combined tradition with the constant search for new technological solutions: natural cosmetics - for both final consumers and professional salons - for face care, body and hair and hygiene products. In 2018 Italy was the second supplier country of Slovenia for cosmetic products, preceded only by Germany (which had a share of 21.2%), with Italian exports reaching 69.4 million euros and a share of 14.8%.
