We started as pioneers in the field of odors. At the time, there were no norms, neither certified solutions and even less possibilities to measure efficiency rates.
The need for proofs demonstrating the effectiveness of our solutions stimulated our research. This research lasted for one decade, in order to determine the actual abatement efficiency of our products.
We performed many olfactometric surveys, which showed an abatement capacity of odor concentration of more than 80% in all the investigated fields of activities. Furthermore, some studies have shown total eco-compatibility and non-toxicity for humans and the environment in the case of products we use. Within the company, we have a team of qualified experts in a position to supply specific answers to questions related with the most complex odorous problems.

We have been dealing with odors abatement for more than thirty years. We are a company of Gruppo Luci, founded in 1988 as a chemical analysis laboratory, in order to support the other companies in the Group involved in waste collection and treatment. We immediately started looking for pragmatic solutions in view of the abatement of malodorous odors generated by various types of plants. Therefore, we are specialists offering innovative and effective solutions to deal with the most complex odorous problems and find solutions. Zephiro UTS - Zephiro UTS is an ultrasound spraying system used to contain odors in all industrial fields, an optimal solution in fast food and restaurants in particular.
Spray - Osmogenic Barrier
All the Labiotest equipment based on this method uses dilution water and specific products.
The deodorizing products offered by Labiotest change the structure of odorous molecules, so that they become imperceptible to our sense of smell. All the products are tested to guarantee efficiency and avoid any risk as regards humans or environment.
Osmogenic barriers are the only solution in cases of diffused emissions (e.g. landfills, composting plants,...) when it is impossible to convey them. However, these barriers are also very efficient in the case of conveyed emissions: it is possible to set up bars equipped with spraying nozzles directly inside the effluents exhaust stacks.
Besides, if located upstream or downstream of the equipment, they can become solutions complementing other activities based on chemical-physical methods, such as scrubbers and absorption towers, or biological processes using biofilters.
All the abatement efficiencies of solutions offered by Labiotest have been tested with olfactometric investigations performed in compliance with standard UNI EN 13725:2022.
Tests have demonstrated an efficiency rate above 80% in the investigated fields of application.

DKFil® is a dry chemical-physical filtering system, that is used to contain odors and abate chemical air contaminants of various types in an extremely efficient way.
DKFil® in the air filtering process
Odors abatement takes place through physical-chemical absorption on a multiple-layer filtering bed with multiple reagents.
The filtering bed size depends on the typology of effluent to be treated.
The proper sizing of DKFil ® allows maintaining high abatement performances for at least 12 months, without any type of maintenance.
The choice of the absorbing materials and specific pre-impregnations for classes and families of mixtures also allow operating a selective abatement of odorous substances, while offering olfactometric efficiencies of 99%.
The DKFil® system may be set-up in a sequence with other air / odor treatment equipment to guarantee a high efficiency, both from the analytical aspect and olfactometric point of view.
Fields of application
DKFil® main field of application is the treatment of wastewaters and particularly of air coming from sewerages, pumping stations, containment reservoirs.
It is also a very efficient solution for the treatment of air coming from waste storage areas, composting plants, leachate tanks.
Finally, it has some application also in some industrial fields, thanks to an accurate specific design
