The treatment technology developed by DELTACQUE solves the pollution issues of the wastewater both industrial and domestic in a simple and economically viable way.
The purification process, based on natural biodynamic principles using the bacteria action for the polluting charge abatement, allows to maximize the purification yield of the treatment plant optimizing the biological cycle with activated sludge and the use of avantgarde equipment, with the aim to reduce operation and management costs as well as the consumption of resources.

Tanning industry represents one of the industrial sectors with higher environmental impact. Deltacque deals with any type of issue, providing concrete and effective solutions for the treatment of waste water and for the recovery of both process water and the main chemicals used in the tannery such as chromium and sulphides. For the treatment of general waters, Deltacque adopts the biological process with activated sludge, a consolidated technology that has further perfected through the construction of over 200 plants all over the world.

The wastewater deriving from the industrial activity, in particular tanning, zootechnical and agricultural, contains large quantities of suspended solids. Deltacque can design and supply many sludge treatment solutions. The objective of this process is the reduction of the humidity contained in the sludge through a series of chemical, physical and mechanical processes, able to decrease the volume and then make more manageable and economic its elimination to the final disposal.
Tanning industry represents one of the industrial sectors with higher environmental impact, due to the high concentration in chemical reagents involved in the production process. Among them, one of the main chemicals is the chrome salt, utilised in the industry as tanning agent. It is well known that, with conventional tannery systems, only 70-80% of the chrome is fixed on the hide, while the remaining part is discharged in the effluent. This element represents an important cost item for the tannery, besides it is one of the main factors of pollution both in the treated effluent and the produced sludge.
In the field of the tannery process, the sulphides (in the form of sodium sulphide) are involved, together with lime, mainly in the liming phase for the hair elimination and derma opening and relaxing, to let it more reactive to the tanning fixation. The liming baths at the end of the phase, and the subsequent washings, define the main part of the pollution generated from the tannery, giving to the effluent a sulphides content around 80-90% of the total.

Biological treatment process.
The treatment system adopted by DeltAcque is based on biological principles, characterized by the action of bacteria that live in dynamic equilibrium with the polluting component of the wastewater, reaching its digestion.
This balance is permanently maintained with the optimization of the biological cycle, the use of new generation machinery and the experience acquired over the years.
DeltAcque uses its knowledge to monitor and adjust the parameters that determine this balance, to maximize the elimination of the polluting component by optimizing the performance of the purification plant.
