Parma Couture was incorporated, thanks to the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Parma, in 1984 under the name of ?Consortium of Clothing Exporters from the Territory of Parma? and in 2014 turned into a ?Consortium for the Internationalisation? which was given qualification by the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Local fashion houses, thanks to the Parma Couture Consortium can land together as one on the international markets: Europe, Far East (and namely Japan), United States, and Australia are the main foreign countries and areas targeted by the Consortium.

E' tempo di anniversari importanti per la moda di Parma. Sono passati 50 anni dall'avvio dell'innovativa esperienza, promossa dalla Camera di Commercio di Parma, del Consorzio "Moda a Parma" affidato a colui che sarebbe diventato per tutti l'ambasciatore della moda italiana nel mondo, Beppe Modenese. Nel 2019, inoltre, saranno passati 35 anni dalla nascita del Consorzio Parma Couture, che tuttora facilita la promozione delle piccole e medie imprese di moda sui mercati internazionali.
