Metal.Ri

Metal.Ri is specialized in the design and production of mixed structures (steel and concrete). We have developed the MTR® System, which represents an advanced solution for horizontal structures composed of lattice beams, type MTR® A, MTR® T and MTR® C, and the MTR® calculation software.

Metal.Ri was born in 1988 as a small metalworking workshop. In 1995, our desire for growth and diversification led us to specialize in the designing and production of mixed structures (steel and concrete).

Experience and competence allowed us to design innovative and target oriented products aiming to enhance the building sector. For this reason, we developed and patented the building system called Sistema MTR®, consisting of a dedicated computing software and three types of lattice beams: MTR® A Beam, MTR® T Beam and MTR® C Beam.

We focus our attention and competence constantly on the quality of the product and on the customer satisfaction by improving our quality and productivity standards. Our business network involves both the Italian and the foreign market where we are able to sell custom products.

Metal.Ri invests in research and development of products and in conforming to the law and to the European legislation in order to put on market new products. This results in more guaranteed products to our clients.

Thanks to the MTR® System, beams are not casted in place. The system includes prefabricated composite beams made of steel, which are delivered on site from the factory, ready to be assembled easily, directly from the trucks on the pillars. The procedure is completed by the structural column-to-beam connectors, the floor with its reinforcement and finally by the casting of concrete.

We want to offer our customers with the best support during the designing phase of the structure. Our structural engineers offer their consulting service to professionals and companies by suggesting the best solution for their building using the elements of the MTR® System.

The MTR® System can be designed to suit any purpose such as residential, commercial, tertiary and industrial buildings.

The video presents the assembly of an MTR® A beam with a lightened floor. The ideal solution for architectural and structural slimness. The MTR® A beam, with steel lower bottom, is self-supporting during assembly and deck casting. In a single element, the self-supporting reinforcement and the formwork. It allows to fulfil any architectural need, representing the alternative and ideal solution compared to the constructive limits that characterize traditional systems. The combination with a lightened floor enhances the performance of the entire structure.

The video describes the assembly of an MTR® T beam with a lightened floor. The solution that replaces the classic reinforcement with improved adhesion to be assembled on site: a lightweight prefabrication to be combined with traditional construction systems, ideal for residential construction. The MTR® T beam is not self-supporting and must be laid on formwork. It is possible to make beams with slab thickness where the ordinary reinforced concrete does not allow it. The combination with a lightened floor enhances the performance of the entire structure.

The video illustrates the assembly of MTR® T beams on predalles slabs. REI solution at cost 0 for car parks, shopping centers, schools, hospitals, decks of residential structures used as garages. Flat decks as an alternative to traditional reinforced concrete solutions.

The REI solution as an alternative to traditional systems. The best solution in operations where fire resistance is required: the MTR® C beam, with its concrete bottom, is self-supporting during assembly and deck casting. Advantages: 70% reduction in floor construction time; Reduction in the number of pillars and their sections; Reduction in beam sections in width and height; Reduction in stress on pillars; Total elimination of formwork and props; Fire resistance without costs and additional work.

The MTR® A Beam, with the steel bottom plate, is self-supporting during the assembly and casting phase of the floor. It allows us to meet the architectural requirements so it represents the alternative and ideal solution against the limitations of the traditional systems. The MTR® A Beam has the CE Marking according to the UNI EN 1090-1. It is composed of a bottom plate, top chords, and structural steel webs. It is filled with in-situ concrete.

The solution that replaces the traditional concrete steel with improved adhesion property to assembly on site: a lightweight prefabricated construction system that can be combined with traditional building systems. It is the ideal solution for residential buildings. The MTR® T Beam is not self-supporting and must be placed on a formwork or on the slab of predalle floors. The MTR® T Beam can be used to make slim floor beams where it is not possible for the ordinary reinforced concrete. The MTR®T Beam has the CE Marking according to the UNI EN 1090-1. It consists of one or more lattice girders made of metallic steel, which are assembled together. The distance between axes is from 15 to 25 cm : each girder consists of two top chords and two bottom chords; these are linked by a central web possibly provided with additional diagonal end , to be completed on site by casting it with collaborating concrete .

The concrete bottom plate is self-supporting during the assembling and casting phase. It functions as formwork and support for the floor. The MTR® C Beam is suitable to build shopping centres, multi-storey parkings, hotels, convention centres, schools, bridges and industrial buildings. It is composed of top and bottom chords, in round steel bars or in square steel bars, which are tied by optional additional diagonal braces at the end of the beam, made of structural steel. The bottom-chord are embedded in the concrete plate whose size and concrete quantity are designed accordingly.

The MTR® Software is the application software for the calculation and designing of the MTR® Beams. It is implemented in the specific production process used by Metal.Ri. The building system of the MTR® beams is equipped with a specific structural design software. It has been designed taking into account the production process and the technical Italian and European law. The purpose of this software is to integrate the different exiting structural design systems in order to plan works using the MTR® technology. INFO.MTR Srl (the software department of Metal.Ri) has developed Software MTR® following the UNI EN ISO 9001 quality standard requirements.
