Newfloor

Founded in 1986 through an intuition of Umberto Matterazzo and rooted in Veneto's rich manufacturing tradition, Newfloor S.r.l. has established itself over four decades as a benchmark in the design and production of raised access flooring systems. Headquartered with its manufacturing plant in Codevigo (Padua), the company was born with a family-oriented vocation focused on high-quality craftsmanship and technological innovation. Led today by President Umberto Matterazzo and Managing Directors Chiara and Michela Matterazzo, Newfloor has transformed what was once a purely technical construction component into a prestigious design element, seamlessly integrated into modern indoor and outdoor architectural concepts.

Newfloor produces approximately 300,000 square meters of raised floors annually, exporting its products to over fifty countries. This international success is backed by the formal recognition of the company's historical and industrial value, as demonstrated by its inclusion in the Register of Historic Venetian Enterprises and its certification of manufacturing fully aligned with the strict standards of Made in Italy.

The company's evolution is defined by continuous technical research aimed at pushing the traditional boundaries of the industry. From its earliest days in 1987, Newfloor stood out by collaborating on third-party manufacturing for prestigious ceramic brands, specializing in hard materials and custom format development. As early as the 1990s—when the market relied almost exclusively on the standard 60x60 cm size—the company pioneered non-standard modules to unlock greater creative freedom for designers. In 1998, it secured a fundamental patent for panels covered with multiple porcelain stoneware tiles edged with a high-resistance permanent joint. In 2003, the company launched its brand directly onto global markets, embarking on a path marked by patents and product innovations. Key technological milestones include the 2013 launch of Freefloor (a dry self-laying system that revolutionized renovations by eliminating adhesives), the 2015 debut of integrated radiant modules, and recent patent registrations including the S-Lock System gasket technology, Lumifloor illuminated flooring, and the Radiafloor low-inertia radiant system.

What sets Newfloor apart in the competitive landscape is its remarkable structural flexibility and tailored approach to every project. Steering clear of rigid mass-production logic, the company offers architects an extensive range of panel coverings—including porcelain stoneware, natural wood and parquet, marble, reconstituted stone, resin, rubber, linoleum, and synthetic materials. This modularity satisfies the specific demands of executive offices, shopping centers, exhibition spaces, institutional sites, residential complexes, and outdoor environments, delivering custom-engineered support structures for both large-scale developments and bespoke small-scale projects.

Chipboard panels for raised access floors, which can be combined with a wide range of floor coverings, such as ceramic, wood, rubber, vinyl, laminate, linoleum, carpet, etc.

The standard size is 60 × 60 cm.

Available thicknesses: 30 and 38 mm.
Available densities: 680 kg / mc - 720 kg / mc

Monolithic structural inert core 2200 kg/mc as density, nominal thickness 15mm, reinforced with a glass fiber net, suitable to guarantee the highest performances as loading capacity and elasticity. Class “0” as fire reaction. Highest dimensional stability for installations in extreme hygrometric conditions, usually not compatible with the characteristics of calcium sulphate or wooden chipboard. The top finish in ceramic is applied with specific adhesive on the core, between them a 100% glass fiber net to avoid the break-through of the panel. Perimetral PVC edge trim 0,8-1,2 mm thk.
(the technical datas of X-floor panel have been achieved following to tests done on a large range of italian ceramic tiles with 10 mm thk of first choice).

This product is available both for indoor and outdoor. The outdoor version does not have the edge trim

Porcelain stoneware tile equipped with a 0.8–1.2 mm thick plastic anti-squeak perimeter edge. Lower coating made of a 2.2 mm thick Ecuran underlay, featuring a high specific weight (2000kg / mc) for high acoustic sound reduction and a grip effect on the subfloor. Nontoxic, odorless, and resistant to temperatures ranging from -30°C to +120°C.

RADIAFLOOR is a raised access floor system that integrates a hydronic radiant heating and cooling system, combining the structure of a raised floor with a radiant coil to ensure maximum thermal comfort and energy efficiency. Suitable for panels measuring 60x60 cm and 60x120 cm, the system requires the consulting of a thermal engineer for proper sizing and to determine the necessary number of modules, which typically cover about 70% of the total surface area, while installation requires the support of a specialized plumber.

This versatile system is ideal for any indoor environment requiring controlled climate control, including offices, business centers, commercial spaces, residences, and museums, making it particularly well-suited for energy-efficient buildings that utilize condensing boilers or heat pumps for optimal energy use.

Among its main advantages, RADIAFLOOR optimizes low-temperature heating systems to significantly reduce energy costs, delivers uniform year-round heating and cooling for enhanced thermal comfort, and features a fully dry installation process that simplifies setup while allowing ongoing access for system inspection.

To adapt to diverse design requirements, the system is available with various finishes, including ceramic porcelain in numerous collections and colors for modern or traditional environments, elegant prefinished parquet for residential and commercial spaces, or plain panels designed for self-laying coverings such as carpets or LVT.
