I Feudi di Romans

The history of the winery began in the early 1950s with a "bet", when Severino Lorenzon came from Veneto and invested all his money acquiring a few hectares in an abandoned land. He was sure that it was perfect for viticulture. Going with professionalism, responsibility and hard work, with the support of his wife, Maria, and later his son Enzo, who did everything possible to make them some of the best vineyards in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. All the vineyards are near the banks of the river Isonzo; it is due to its variability and frequent flooding of the river, the soil layers are continually changing and mixed. The soil of the DOC Isonzo del Friuli is distinguished by a large content of crushed stone and painted red, indicating the high level of mineralization.
The turning point came in 1991 with the acquisition of the cru "I Feudi di Romans". The first wine from this area were released in 1996 and immediately found its fans, whose number is growing every year.
Today in the management of winery attended by representatives of the third generation together with Enzo, there are Davide and Nicola Lorenzon. Due to high quality wines that reflect the true spirit of family traditions and the unique character of the land, the wines are popular not only in Italy but also in over 25 countries around the world.

Ribolla Gialla I Feudi di Romans, versatile, mineral, perfect for an aperitif or to match with fish dishes, vegetable creams and soups.

A worldwide known wine. The Pinot Grigio has a straw yellow color, with some golden reflections. The aromas on the nose recall acacia flowers, pear and a sensation of freshly cut grass. On the palate it is full, round, well balanced. It closes with a slightly bitter finish, characterized by a mineral aftertaste.

Formerly Tocai Friulano, and also known as Sauvignonasse, the Friulano is the grape variety most famous of the white wines of Friuli, northeastern Italy. It's dry, medium body, with hints of citrus fruits such as lime, grapefruit and also notes of green pear and crushed gravel.
Perfect match with San Daniele ham, pasta, a white meat and a great choice along roasted green vegetables.

Our Sauvignon Blanc is crispy and elegant. Straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. Fragrance reminiscent of apricot, tropical fruit, yellow pepper and tomato leaf. Rich and inviting flavour.
