Owning the vineyards in an area so suited to viticulture certainly represents a differentiating element for the quality of the wines of the Tenuta Antonini winery: when Nature puts a lot of its own into it, it is already well advanced.

But that’s not enough. Because the weather conditions are unpredictable and uncontrollable: relying solely on the naturalness of the vineyard can create many problems, both in the harvest and in the cellar.
Vintages that are too different from each other risk depriving a wine of its uniqueness and recognizability at first taste.

This is why in the Tenuta Antonini winery innovative technologies are used, both at the agronomic level and at the time of winemaking, to balance any distortions and produce wines that are indeed an expression of the territory, but in its best meaning.

Therefore, cutting-edge technologies in the cellar, such as cryomaceration which – by cold macerating the grapes – allows to attenuate light unpleasant characters, while increasing the expressiveness of the grape variety and enhancing its characteristics.

But also particular attention to the vineyard, with the application, for example, of the green manuring technique, which involves the sowing on the same row of some natural essences with the function of increasing the fertility of the soil: to choose the mix correctly, it is necessary to know depth of the soil, to provide it with the specific nourishment it needs, which differs from place to place.

In the Tenuta Antonini winery, agronomy and winemaking techniques go hand in hand, both with a single goal: to make use of the best and advanced technologies to enhance the most unique characteristics of a territory and modernize the final product, starting from native vines to produce wines ready to conquer our place in the world.

For aging, it is placed to rest in oak tonneaux so that the wood releases unique aromas and scents.

The Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo D.O.C.G. Riserva is made in
Ancarano town and is a wine with great personality, produced from carefully selected grapes. “Le Casette” Riserva is deeply rooted in the history of the Teramo hills. For us, it is the ultimate expression of the terroir.
