Ceramics of Vietri Francesco De Maio is an historic company with a history dating back to 1494 and an ancient tradition of hand-decorated ceramic craftmanship and products. It still produces handmade decorated majolicas which promote the cultural, artistic and artisan heritage of Vietri's ceramics products worldwide.
Craftsmanship and our industrial culture are combined with the values of the traditional ceramic workshop. The research into ceramics and high quality of raw materials, make Francesco De Maio a symbol of the excellence in terms of Made in Italy tag.
Classic and modern collections, high design majolicas and ceramic products, which can be even customized, are strictly handmade on different supports: handmade Cotto (Terracotta), Double-fired and Grès Maiolicato® also non-slip (R10) with a wide range of decorations and colors.
In addition Francesco De Maio has the original and first exclusive license for te reproduction, promotion and marketing in all 5 continents of one of the most beautiful collections of ceramics designed by Gio Ponti created in 1960, Blu Ponti Collection.
As result of the high artistic quality of her hand-decorated tile productions Francesco De Maio is the exclusive licensee of the Puntini Collection that the designer Alessandro Mendini designed for Francesco De Maio in September 2018.
A real "HandMade in Italy" not only for the reference to ceramic excellence, but also to the history of Italian design. Majolicas made by hands that are the expression of this story and which tell a story. Every majolica is unique, a piece of art.
