In October 2024, the Italian Trade Agency Canada, in collaboration with UCIMU - UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian Machine Tools and Machinery Association, proudly supported a delegation of Canadian manufacturers at 34.BIMU, Italy’s premier trade show for the metalworking industry, held in Milan from October 7-11.

This mission provided Canadian delegates with the opportunity to explore Italy’s cutting-edge technologies in metal cutting, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, and more. By participating in BIMU, Canadian professionals gained valuable insights into Italy’s world-class manufacturing capabilities, including precision machining and innovative industrial solutions.

The event also facilitated numerous business-to-business (B2B) meetings, allowing Canadian delegates to connect with key Italian manufacturers and explore potential partnerships. BIMU served as an essential platform for strengthening trade relations between Canada and Italy, further enhancing Canada’s position in the global manufacturing sector through exposure to Italy's advanced industrial technologies.
