The Italian Trade Agency Canada has organized a Canadian delegation to attend SIGEP 2023, the leading global event for ice cream, chocolate and confectionery, coffee, bakery and the HORECA industry. With 129.000 sqm and over 1,000 exhibitors SIGEP for more than 40 years has been the point of reference for innovations in the whole dessert-and-coffee Foodservice sector and provides a complete overview of all new market developments: raw materials and ingredients, machinery and equipment, as well as furnishings, packaging and services. 

The Trade Show took place in the city of Rimini, from January 21st to 25th. 

ITA Canada led a delegation of 11 executives of companies operating in the ice cream and bakery industry from across the Country (Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Nova Scotia). Amongst them, companies operating in the HORECA of the Greater Toronto Area and the city of Montreal. The delegation also included the dean of a prominent College in Ontario, for the equipment of the Pastry and Bakery department of the College’s Culinary School.

Over 100 b2b meetings were held during the tradeshow days between the Canadian companies and the Italian exhibitors.
