Roman Classic Travertine SL

The “Classico” roman travertine , is the Italian travertine for excellence , with a fund light beige color and crossed by slim striations of warm color. To testimony of the resistance and durability in the time of this kind of stone , architectural works like the “Colosseum” and the “ Basilica of S.Peter” can be still admired today. The “Classico” is excellent for indoor coverings with shiny and smooth finishes , it is excellent for outdoor coverings too with polished , honed and filled finishes . The “Classico” if parallelly cut to the vein (Vein Cut) , shows an “oniciato” effect with tone on tone nuances and a very compact aspect. If it orthogonally cut (Cross Cut) , it slightly makes the darkest veins visible, underlining the homogeneity , the compactness and structure of the stone. The elevated porosity of the “Classico” perfectly shows the oneness of every singular piece of the natural stone, remembering the Classical and Baroque architecture in Rome. It can be filled with Cement, Mastic, Transparent Resin and subsequently brushed , or smoothed or polished. The “Classico” can excellently be defined the most chamaleonic of all the types of roman travertine, It can be in fact as modern as classical, and, at the same time , it can be used both for indoor and outdoor coverings. The only and the original “Classico” is extracted in the travertine’s quarries of Tivoli and Guidonia Montecelio ( Rome, Italy)
