Mancini Luxury

The work is made up of inspiration, research and expression of the emotions that the goldsmith experiences every day. From nature, the sea and his beloved hometown, Civitavecchia, Marco Mancini takes inspiration to give life to his art: he assimilates, re-elaborates and finally interprets the absorbed emotions in the form of a jewel. Not surprisingly, her favorite quote is: "The jewel is the expression of the soul of the wearer, the artist is called to interpret it".

Mancini was among the first in the industry to introduce CNC (computer numerical control) technology in the 1990s and in 2000 adopted laser source welding technology and 3D printing. He was also among the first in the world to create the "jewel glasses", among the most expensive of their kind. For some years, it has been projecting towards internationalization, to make its products known also abroad.

This model of glasses-type “acetate” is inspired by the mythological tale of Argus and Io, which deals with the theme of the “power of the gaze “alert. Argus Panoptes (the all-seeing), son of Aristore, was in fact a giant with a hundred eyes, placed to guard the beautiful daughter of the river god Inachus and transformed by Zeus in a white heifer because of a spell. It was said, that Zeus had an affair with Io hiding her in a golden cloud so unleashing the wrath of his wife, who to avoid a repeat of the crime asked him for the noble Heifer as a gift. Observing frontally the eyewear it stands out in the first end pieces, tracing the shape of two pairs of eyes with four diamonds set inside. According to the myth, in fact, the giant rested closing in turn only two eyes at a time, so that nothing could escape his attention. Trims embellished with diamonds, set with the technique of micro-pave have a soft and sensuous morphology that echoes the symbolism of the eye.
The iris is composed of an oval cut stone that is alternated using sapphires, rubies, emeralds and diamonds in the variations. Many were in fact the colors of the incredible eyes of Argus, which were transformed by the compassion of Era into gems and placed on the tail of the peacock (animal sacred to her that maintains the memory of Argus connected to immortality). Valuable is the working design of the eyewear gallery that brings elegance and lightness and represents on the two sides the M brand and the dolphin (symbol of regeneration).

This model of sunglasses of acetate type is presented in two different versions: “Artemide M gold” and “Artemide M diamonds”. The difference comes when you take a closer look at the double-M logo located on the frames’ side: in “Artemide M gold” is made of solid 18 kt gold, while in “Artemide M diamonds”, the diamonds enrich the solid 18 kt gold settings. The collection comes in a range of 7 different colors where each one has a limited number of 199 pieces. This model is dedicated to the Goddess Artemis, one of the twelve great divinities of the ancient Greece. She is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, born on the Island of Delo, considered to be the twin sister of Apollo. If Apollo is considered to be the God of the Sun, then Artemis is the Goddess of the Moon. At the same time, she is also the Goddess of Hunting and the protector of the wild animals. There are many legends depicting Her armed with a bow and arrows, followed by her nymphs, running up the hills and meadows in search of game, not sparing the brave ones who dare to challenge her. The typical “cat eye” shape of these sunglasses is not casual but is inspired by the strong bond the goddess had with the cats, animals sacred to her. In fact, among her extraordinary powers, we can also find the ability to turn into a cat.

Ring in white gold with outline of diamonds collection and central royal blue cushion cut sapphire.
Microsculpture representing a shell which harmoniously accompanies the lateral shank.

This splendid tourmaline known as ‘’rubellite’’ because of its likeness to a ruby, dominates the scene in this necklace.
It is covered in an 18 kt alloy of white and pink gold and its design is sublime and refined. The brightness and the high degree of purity of this gem is to say the least surprising.
The phoenix jewel, conceived to honour the legendary bird that rises with splendour from its ashes, brings with it the great majesty of the phoenix, a unique animal just like the uniqueness of the woman who will proudly wear it.

Man has always had strong feelings about the need for an iconic association between himself and the object, an idea or simply a dream? Is it something primitive or something so strong that one only needs to look around to understand how ‘’COATS OF ARMS’’ – today defined as logos, are part of our lives.
A manifestation of oneself, the gentleman’s ring has ancient origins, created in Mesopotamia as a trade seal it became the symbol of power during ancient Egyptian times, finally consolidating in becoming, in Medieval times, an emblem of belonging to a household or family. Being brought down from father to son, the ring carries with it the soul and the power of the person to whom it belonged.
White and yellow gold gentlemen's ring with a superb vivid bluish green emerald adorned with blue diamonds and ceramics inserts.
Microsculpture of a lionhead on the side representing might of the owner.
Amazing effect with latin gold inscription emergin on the ceramic.
