Kazakhstan, Russia, and China negotiating terms for gas pipeline projectThe terms for the construction of a gas pipeline from Russia to China through Kazakhstan are currently under discussion, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev said."The issue of building a gas pipeline from Russia through northern Kazakhstan to China is being discussed. The route has been preliminarily mapped out. The terms and conditions for the construction of this gas pipeline are being negotiated," Satkaliyev told journalists on the sidelines of the government meeting on Tuesday in Astana.In February 2023, the ex-Kazakh Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said that QazaqGaz and  Gazprom are conducting a pre-feasibility study for the construction of the international gas pipeline, Russian Federation-Kazakhstan-China.The Energy Ministry noted that the gas pipeline may run from Kostanay to Ust-Kamenogorsk via Astana, Pavlodar, and Semey.
