Kazakhstan to launch digital investment platformA National Digital Investment Platform, aiming to attract more investors and monitor the implementation of investment projects, will be launched in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.A memorandum of cooperation as necessary to create the National Digital Investment Platform was signed by the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Information Technologies JSC and Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) during the conference titled Financial Institutions for Development and Sustainable Infrastructure: Operating Models and Method, which was held as part of the 46th Annual Conference of the Association of Development Financial Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) in Almaty."The National Digital Investment Platform will be like a roadmap for the attraction (onboarding) of investors,” said Ardak Zebeshev, the chairman of the Investment Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Owing to the digitalization, the investment projects will be completed in a shorter period of time. Most urgent issues that the investors may have when carrying out their projects will be taken up with the Investment Coordination Center chaired by the Kazakh prime minister, Zebeshev added.National Digital Investment Platform will be created with the participation of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, National Company Kazakh Invest JSC, the national institutes of development and funds, companies operating in the quasi-public sector, the central government agencies and local authorities, according to the press release.Boston Consulting Group estimates foreign direct investment in the Central Asian region at $170 billion in the next 10 years, of which about $100 are expected to come to Kazakhstan, the press release says.
