The Mozambican government has revised upwards its estimate of the country’s economic growth this year from 6% to 7%.The executive says that sectors such as the extractive industry and agriculture will have a significant impact on this growth, projected in light of the medium-term fiscal scenario.The information was shared at the first edition of the Economic and Financial Forum in Maputo this Wednesday by Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Carla Louveira.Meanwhile, the representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Mozambique, Alexis Meyer-Cirkel, recommended prudence in forecasting the growth of the national economy, due to the challenges posed by natural disasters in the country.
