The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported that in Q1, 2023 non-financial enterprises with more than 50 people on the payroll posted a financial result of PLN58.8bn, down by 0.2 % compared to Q1, 2022. A net profit was recorded by 70.5 % of the total number of such enterprises, down from 70.6 % a year earlier. The net profit amounted to PLN82.4bn, PLN8.5bn more than in the year-earlier period, while the net loss reached PLN23.7bn, up by PLN8.7bn compared to Q1 of last year.  (ICE VARSAVIA)
