SAUDI EXTENDS WASTEWATER BID DEADLINE

Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has extended the tender closing date for the contract to develop the proposed Al-Haer independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP) project in Riyadh from 25 May to 5 June. SWPC qualified the following firms last year to bid for the Al-Haer ISTP contract: Abdul Aziz al-Ajlan Sons Company for Commercial & Real Investment – Ajlan & Bros (local) Acciona Agua (Spain) International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea, local) Tamasuk Holding Company / AlBlagha Group Company (local) Alfanar Company (local) China Gezhouba Group Overseas Investment Company (China) Civil Works Company (local) Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios (Spain) Sete Energy Saudia for Industrial Projects (local) GS Inima Environment (Spain) Metito Utilities Miahona Company (local) Besix Sharjah (UAE) Mowah Company (local) Saur (France) Power & Water Utility Company for Yanbu and Jubail (Marafiq, local) S.A. de Obras y Servicios, Copasa Group (Spain) Suez International (France) Utico (UAE) Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies Company (local) China Everbright Water Investment (China) Jinluo Water Company – Dubai (UAE) Lamar Saudi United Holding (local) Vishvaraj Environment Private (India) SWPC issued the request for proposals (RFP) for the contract to qualified bidders on 24 November. The project is part of the third batch of Saudi Arabia's ISTP programme. Its design capacity will be 200,000 cubic metres a day (cm/d). (ICE RIYADH)
