Kazakhstan needs to import 236,000 tonnes of fertilizers in 2023 - Ministry of AgricultureAgricultural producers in Kazakhstan need about 236,000 tonnes of fertilizers that the republic does not produce in necessary quantities, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a press release.Kazakhstan needs fertilizers that are not produced in the republic or produced in small quantities, such fertilizers including ammonium sulfate, carbamide, carbamide-ammonia mixtures and multiple-nutrient fertilizers, Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev said at a meeting in Moscow with the leadership of Russia’s leading agricultural companies.At moment, Kazakhstan needs about 236,000 tonnes of such fertilizers, the minister added.This demand was calculated based on requests from the regional administrations, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture told Interfax-Kazakhstan.In mid-May the government of Kazakhstan approved a list of fertilizers, namely ammonium nitrate and ammophos, which can only be exported by the producers.
