Polregio (railway transport operator)  has announced that it has filed 10 applications with the Centre for EU Transport Projects for co-financing for the purchase of 98 electric multiple units, adding that the project value is over PLN3bn net. The units will be ordered in two versions, a shorter one with a seating capacity of 130-160 and a longer one with 210 seats, and they will be able to achieve speeds up to 160 kilometres per hour. Addressing the matter, Polregio’s CEO Adam Pawlik noted that it was the largest investment project in the company’s history of more than 20 years.  (ICE VARSAVIA)
