The Law and Justice (PiS) government has proposed a record increase in the minimum wage and as of 1 January 2024 the minimum wage is to increase to PLN4,242 gross while as of 1 July 2024 – to PLN4,300 gross. Meanwhile, the minimum hourly rate will be increased to PLN27.70 gross as of January and to PLN28.10 gross as of July. 2024 will be the second year with two minimum wage increases, which takes place when the annual average inflation forecast for the following year is above 5 %.
