The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported that in 2022 the average wage amounted to PLN6,346.15 gross, having increased by 11.7 percent in nominal terms compared to 2021, when the average wage had increased by 8.7 percent compared to 2020. Still, the increase was lower than the annual average inflation, which stood at 14.4 percent last year. The data released by the statistical office also show that in 2022 the highest average wage was earned by miners, i.e. PLN11,101.46 gross, and the lowest by people working in the accommodation and catering sectors, i.e. PLN4,127.68.
