Vargas, a major Swedish investment group, has set up a direct-to-consumer heat pump company called Aira, which will produce heat pumps on the premises of the repurposed Volvo Buses factory in Wrocław, which is to operate by the end of 2023. Aira is already recruiting staff members, including from among former Volvo Buses employees, and the production of heat pumps is expected to start in Q1 or Q2 next year. Commenting on the matter, Harald Mix, Chairman of Vargas and Aira, has said that several hundred million euro will be invested in the Wrocław project.
