The Republic of Indonesia Satellite (SATRIA)-1 was launched by the government through the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, United States. Launched with a Falcon 9 rocket owned by Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX), it is the country's first multifunctional satellite with the largest capacity in Asia. The satellite will occupy an orbit of 146°E above Papua Island. The government hopes the launch will support national digital transformation. Arief Tri Hardiyanto, acting Main Director of the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI), expressed his hope that SATRIA-1 will occupy orbit and operate properly.
