Poland’s biggest exporting industry is the automotive industry, which exported PLN50bn worth of products during the first three months of 2023, which represents an increase by PLN14.3bn or 40 % y/y. Moreover, the industry exported as much as 82.1% of its sales, compared to 78.3 % a year earlier.According to experts, this clearly shows that Polish automotive factories operate mainly to supply overseas markets. In terms of exports, the second biggest industry was the electrical equipment manufacturing industry, with exports of PLN31bn, PLN10.2bn or 48 % more y/y, and the third biggest industry was the food industry, with PLN25.5bn worth of exports, PLN5.2bn or 26 % more y/y.
