Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, managed by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), has won the Energy Management Insight Award at the 2023 Energy Management Leadership Awards. The award, organized by The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), recognizes industry players and business entities worldwide who have implemented energy management systems to achieve benefits in energy, economy, and sustainability. Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport was the first airport in Southeast Asia to implement the ISO 50001 energy management system, resulting in energy savings of 26,592 MWh or IDR 27.8 billion in the 2020-2022 range. This energy savings has increased by 44% within the last two years. Additionally, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport recorded a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 21,008 metric tons of CO2.
