The Management Board of Copernicus Airport Wrocław has reported that in May 2023, the airport handled 324,000 passengers, 52,000 more than in the preceding month, and if the trend continues the airport will service 3.8 million passengers this year, which will be a new yearly record. Commenting on the airport’s performance, its CEO Cezary Pacamaj has noted that the airport is handling record passenger numbers ahead of the peak season. “We are seeing increased interest in all destinations, both typical holiday destinations and connections to major European cities,” he added. According to the airport’s figures, last month Italy was the most popular destination among low-cost routes, chosen by more than 42,000 passengers, followed by Spain with 21,000 passengers and Greece with 15,000.
