THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION ADDED 40 PORTS TO IMPLEMENT INAPORTNET

The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation has added 40 ports to its Inaportnet program, with an expected increase to 151 by the end of 2023. The implementation of Inaportnet aims to improve port services and drive national logistics cost efficiency. The Ministry of Transportation and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, attended the launch of Go Live Phase 1 of the Inaportnet application in 40 ports, which involved signing an integrity pact. The goal is to improve coordination and eliminate sectoral egos to provide the best port services.Preparatory steps have been taken by the Ministry of Transportation, including conducting a Training of Trainers (TOT) for UPP operators and the Navigation District, conducting infrastructure trials, conducting System Integration Tests (SIT), and outreaching service users in stages at 40 ports. The implementation of Go Live Inaportnet Phase 2 is scheduled for early September 2023, and Phase 3 is scheduled for November 2023.The 40 ports will begin implementing Inaportnet, including Rangga Ilung Class II Port Operations Unit Office, Tanjung Redep, Atapapu, Pomako, Raja Ampat, Benete, and Reo. The Calang Class III Port Operations Unit Office will also implement Inaportnet. Indonesia is preparing to optimize port utilization through digitalization through the National Single Window Institution (LNSW) and the Inaportnet application, which is part of the national logistics ecosystem.
