The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has reported that in 2021, the number of new industrial robots installed in factories around the world increased by over 30 percent, with Poland being one of leaders in this respect with growth dynamics above 50 percent. Still, Poland has a long way to go in order to catch up with such global leaders as China, Japan or the US. Commenting on the matter, Rafał Żelazny, Vice-President of the Management Board at the Katowice Special Economic Zone, points out that the automotive industry has always been the sector at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge technologies to improve the precision of operations, increase operational efficiency as well as reduce the negative impact on the environment.
