The Federation of Thai Tourism Associations (Fetta) is hoping its revival will allow for a more flexible workflow and agenda-based development, after seven tourism associations recently quit the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT) and joined Fetta. The Fetta representative and honorary secretary-general of the Association of Thai Travel Agents (Atta), said the federation will drive policies through a flat organisational structure without a hierarchy. As Fetta has only seven associations, compared with more than 100 under TCT, it should allow for more efficient workflow and cooperation between members, he said. In the short term, the federation aims to organise the Thailand International Tourism Conference by the end of this year. (ICE BANGKOK)
