Uzbek president proposes common SCO transportation systemUzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has invited member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to create a common transit and transportation system."We believe it's expedient to elaborate a common map of transport interconnections between all SCO member states. This will allow us to detect bottlenecks and flaws, and to plan priority measures and projects aimed at a common, integrated transit and transportation system," Mirziyoyev said at an SCO summit on Tuesday.He proposed that the issue be scrutinized at the next expanded meeting of SCO transport ministers involving the participation of large transport and logistics companies, operators, shipping agents, analysts and industry professionals."We are also counting on our partners' support for our initiative, which aims to open an interregional connecting center in Uzbekistan under the UN's aegis," Mirziyoyev said.
