Government to give 25,000 km of neglected utility networks to monopolists - PMThe Kazakh government will draft a "road map" to hand over the neglected utility networks to monopolists, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said."Monopolists will be handed over more than 25,000 km of abandoned utility networks with a request to put them in order," Smailov said at a government meeting on Wednesday.The ministries of economy, industry, and energy, together with local authorities have to draft a road map to put this plan in motion.Prime Minister noted that the target set for the year provides for repairing nearly 6,000 km of utility networks."These are infrastructure facilities in a state of utter disrepair, which require immediate modernization," Smailov said.
