POLAND: ORLEN PLANS 15, 000 CHARGING STATIONS BY 2030

ORLEN announced that the number of its electric car charging stations is to increase to 15,000 by the 2030, while today it has only 1,000 stations. Furthermore, ORLEN declares do launch about 100 hydrogen refueling stations, half of which would be built in Poland, and the rest on the Czech and Slovak markets.New car charging stations will appear along trans-European routes as part of the TEN-T network, in cities, as well as in other places important from the perspective of customers. ORLEN indicates that it will focus on the development of fast charging points . In this context, the condition of distribution networks in Poland may be a challenge, as well as the high cost of connecting charging points in the Motorway Service Areas with the to the national electricity network.  (ICE VARSAVIA)
