Pertamina Group has signed nine memoranda of understanding (MoUs) at the 2023 Indonesia EBTKE Conference and Exhibition (ConEx) to develop a new and renewable energy (EBT) business. PT Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) implemented the MoUs in five of them, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) Tbk in three of them, and Pertamina's Research Technology and Innovation (RTI) Function in one of them. The main director of Pertamina NRE, Dannif Danusaputro, stated that the cooperation aims to develop technology, business development, and renewable energy applications. The MoUs include the use of EBT in the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train Station environment with PT Kereta Api Indonesia China, the green ventures investment platform with MDI Ventures, green ammonia using nuclear energy with the Chargé d'Affaires Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark, and a cooperation MoU regarding the utilization of the pipeline for hydrogen transportation to Singapore with PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia.PGE President Director Julfi Hadi said the signing of the MoU aims to increase PGE's capacity to 1 gigawatt and make projects more commercial, especially in terms of derivative products, hydrogen. The MoU also aims to develop technology that makes operational activities more efficient. PGE entered into MoUs for the development of the 2x55 MW Seulawah Geothermal Working Area with PT Pembangunan Aceh, the South Sumatra Grid Resources Confirmation MoU with Chevron New Energy International Pte. Ltd., and the 210 MW Binary Technology MoU with KS Orka Renewables Pte. Ltd.
