FORUM TO GATHER HEALTHCARE LEADERS, CLINICIANS IN DOHA

The highly anticipated Person-Centered Care Forum is set to be held as a hybrid event for the first time in Doha, gathering healthcare leaders, clinicians, and prominent stakeholders from around the globe. This year’s theme, “Inspire, Innovate, and Adapt: The Future of Person-Centered Care,” promises to ignite discussions on groundbreaking strategies to enhance the patient experience within the healthcare ecosystem. The Forum to be hosted by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), in collaboration with Planetree International will be delivered in-person at Sheraton Doha and virtually on September 22 and 23. In 2021 and 2022, the Forum was held as a virtual event. The Person-Centered Care Forum has earned a reputation as a unique conference that spearheads positive change in healthcare. By bringing together influential figures in the field, the forum aims to share actionable suggestions and paradigm-shifting strategies that prioritize the patient’s well-being and satisfaction, according to organisers. “Changing patient expectations, technological advancements, and evolving healthcare policies have contributed to a substantial shift in the patient experience in recent years. Healthcare workers must be agile, creative, and patient-focused if they are to succeed in this new environment,” Dr. Abdulla Al Ansari, Chair of Person-Centered Care Forum 2023 - Scientific Planning Committee; and Nasser Al Naimi, Co-Chair, Person-Centered Care Forum 2023 - Scientific Planning Committee said in a joint message. “We have the opportunity to build on innovations that came out of the global pandemic, as well as the responsibility to rebuild aspects of PCC that were negatively affected that need our support and attention. “The Forum provides crucial guidelines and standards for assessing and putting into practice Person-Centered, technology-enabled healthcare innovations that empower patients to take control of their health and lower healthcare barriers,” they added. The forum will feature insightful panel discussions, thought-provoking keynote speeches, and interactive workshops led by distinguished experts in the field. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into effective strategies for incorporating patient-centric care models into their organisations, fostering collaboration, and leveraging technology to improve healthcare outcomes. The Forum will be held in four tracks –innovation in person-centered care practice, compassion-empathy in action, and partnership and co-designing care. One of the key objectives of the Person-Centered Care Forum is to establish crucial guidelines and standards for assessing and implementing person-centred, technology-enabled healthcare innovations. These innovations are aimed at giving patients greater control over their health while simultaneously reducing barriers to accessing quality care.
